"Iced Mocha" (Technical: Natural Highlighting)

Postet av Amin Cadie den 22. Des 2014

This is a preview of a recent photoshoot I did to demonstrate natural highlights using only high-lift colours which have a very balanced even tone. I avoid bleaching Scandinavian hair. The tones used consisted of Ash/Violet and Mocha tones to create a sharp contrast. Also, applying the foils using the same sectioning for the cut (Diagonal forward 45 degree placement) creates a dynamic effect. - Amin Cadie (Adam&Eva Verftet)

Goldtrix: Technical Colour Combination

Postet av Amin Cadie den 30. Nov 2014

I experimented with tones and discovered a colour I named "Goldtrix". The camera didn't pick up the exact colour, so this is just an example. I blended violet as a primary colour for the lowest shade and gold/violet for the highest shade. My reason for mixing the colour in this particular way: using a violet primary colour on the lowest shade creates a cold neutral foundation for the secondary golden tone to create soft layers. It's all about the science behind how light reflects differently from variable shades.

Inspiration:Precision Cutting

Postet av Amin Cadie den 27. Nov 2014

At the moment I'm inspired by the precision cuts which play a very important role in the foundation of Adam & Eva's philosophy and background for education. Here, I combined the structure of two different cuts which have been in the Adam & Eva academy education for the last 41 years.

Classic Nostalgic Hairstyles

Postet av Amin Cadie den 8. Nov 2014

This is a very elegant and timeless classic feminine haircut. While the current trend for men shows a trip back to the nostalgic "barbershop" classic cuts: this is a style that inspires me to recommend the "precision classic cuts" for female clients - Photo courtesy of Fashion Girl Vector.

Autumn/Høst 2014

Postet av Amin Cadie den 2. Okt 2014

Autumn is a colourful time of year: and it's during this season that I start to change the colour on my clients' hair after the summer sun does its work.
I really like using the foil highlighting technique as the results can look very natural. To achieve this result, I use a fine weaving method, and leave a fine section in between the placed packets. It is also important to ensure the colour is applied as close to the roots as possible without any "colour-bleeding". I place almost the same amount of packets in half a head of highlights as a standard full head!!
For the light colour: I like to use high-lift colours as they produce a nice stable tone, and are gentle on the hair. Often the second colour which is applied every secondary/tertiary section will contain shades close to the natural hair with an enhanced tone of the clients choice: for example - caramel, mocha or cold tones.
Providing there is no previous home colouring on the hair which needs to be removed: I avoid using bleach as I find it unstable for the results I wish to achieve.
Over the 10 years of my career; my clients have been very impressed with the results, and have reported back that it took a long time before any sign of re-growth (ettervekst) appeared, and eventually there was no hard line as the hair grew out.
For maintainence of after sun hair colour, I like to balance out the tones by using transparent colours to maintain a depth in colour while maintaining a natural look.

Hairspiration 2015 (Adam&Eva)

Postet av Amin Cadie den 12. Sep 2014

This clean haircut reminds me of the 1940's military look. For spring 2015 I feel this haircut being very universal with a wide spectrum of contemporary clothing styles from rock to smart/casual wear. This cut can be strengthened by varying the depth and tone of the hair colour, as hair colour can have a very strong impact on the overall result.
