With The L'oreal Colour Trophy coming up soon, The longest running live hairdressing competition beginning in 1956. The main ethos behind the competition is "Hair Inspired by Fashion"

They say… “The mid dye is a fresh take on the popular dip dye. It’s soft, elegant and is the new sophisticated 2013 look to take our clients forward for the season. It can be created on any base and the look can be anything from dramatic to soft and wearable. In ombre or dip-dye the colour gently bleeds into a lighter tone; in the mid dye we use this same bleeding technique in reverse on the bottom of the hair allowing the colour to become darker on the tips.”
